An elevator and its passengers, a mother-to-be reading a fairy tale to her unborn child, a lost boy caught between his rowdy, drunk parents, a dance lesson for the deaf, a guard at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, bored MPs listening to a speech in parliament - six documentary etudes on the subject of silence.
