Chase Alexander Lawless was raised in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. He is a screen actor best known for his work on the Amazon MGM series, "Justice on Trial," the Paramount Plus series "Mayor of Kingstown," and his guest starring role in the Fox series "Accused," based on the BBC's BAFTA-winning crime anthology series of the same name. Lawless has also made appearances in AAA video games such as NBA2k26, and has a knack for performing in different accents and languages. Beyond acting, he also trains regularly in stage and screen combat, and has a particular passion for Japanese swordsmanship. Chase changed his last name for stage from Cownden to Lawless to honor his late grandmother, Mavis Cownden (Lawless).
